I personally want to welcome you to Dunbar Township Elementary's Home Page!  Dunbar Township Elementary School is part of the Connellsville School District and is located in the hills of Southwestern Pennsylvania.  Dunbar Township Elementary serves kindergarten through sixth grade students and has a current enrollment of 595 students.
   Dunbar Township is a rural school that offers a warm, safe, and caring environment for its students and promotes student engaged instruction in all of its classrooms.  All students receive quality instruction in the classroom and have the opportunity to participate in music, computer, library, and physical education classes.  I encourage parents to become actively involved with the education of our children.

Announcements

  • Secretary of Education Ron Tomalis announced the results of the 2011-12 PSSA exams during a press conference on 9/21/2012 in the state Capitol Media Center.

     

    At the same time, the department will post on its website the 2011-12 PSSA results and Adequate Yearly Progress status by local education agency and school.  Files can be accessed by visiting www.education.state.pa.us and clicking on the “2011-12 PSSA” icon.

     

    In addition, the state, local education agency and school report cards will be available for viewing and download at http://paayp.emetric.net.

    The C.A.S.D. Special Education Department is collecting Shop ‘n Save Receipts this year.  The department needs to collect over $10,000.00 in receipts to provide a program from the Pittsburgh Zoo for the Special Education students in the district. 

    A collection box will be placed in the front lobby at Dunbar Twp. Elementary for receipts.  You can send the receipts in daily now through February.  Receipts can be from your household, family and friends. The more help with this the better!
