TITLE 1

Title 1 is a federally funded supplemental program that was established to develop competence in reading and math.  Title 1 teachers provide remedial instruction in both reading and math. The Title 1 teacher and the classroom teacher work together to continually review and assess student performance.  The goal of Title 1 is to provide the opportunity for students to meet state standards in reading and math.
