Welcome to Connellsville Area Career & Technical Center, formerly known as North Fayette Area Vocational Technical School. This year marks one of the major changes to take place within the Connellsville Area School District. The Career Center has transitioned into a comprehensive school, providing core academic courses here at the Career & Technical Center, with the 11th and 12th grade students here all day. The 9th and 10th grade students are here approximately half a day. Over the next 2 years the Career Center will witness a major renewal initiative that includes an addition and renovation to the facility, the purchase of state-of-the-art tools and equipment and an updated curriculum that focuses on high priority and high paying careers. Students have the opportunity to learn, using their heads and hands in an authentic setting. In addition, the school uses a teaching method that allows students to progress at their own pace, while achieving goals. Our programs at Connellsville Area Career & Technical Center are designed for the college-bound student, as well as those entering the workforce after graduation. In fact, many of our programs offer college credit for work completed while in high school. Many of our students continue their education after high school at some of the finest colleges and technical schools in the country.
