Title I

Understanding Title I Services

Title I is a federally funded supplemental program that was established to develop competence in reading and math. Title I teachers provide remedial instruction in both reading and math. The Title I teacher and the classroom teacher work together to continually review and assess student performance. The goal of Title I is to provide the opportunity for students to meet state standards in reading and math.
